Arkansas authorized three types of bonuses for DSPs: recruitment, retention, and complex care bonuses. However, they set these bonuses and their maximum capped amount BEFORE they calculated the payout for each provider approved for ARPA funds.
How many bonuses
are we talking about?
According to that, we will only have resources for retention and recruitment bonuses and we will not have enough resources to pay out the maximum capped amounts set by the State.
They told us we would receive approximately $3.3 million for bonuses, taxes, benefits, and administrative costs based on our historical billing and the total number of people we support.
